Thursday's Post
I am reading The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. So far, i love it ! So far, the main character, Katniss Everdeen, a pour girl living in the worst district out of 12 in the country of Panem, has been chosen in a raffle to be entered in The Hunger Games. These are where 2 tributes from each district are fighting to the death for extra food for their district. I think that that is a horrible way for people living in bad places to get extra stuff. I mean, the richest place in the country (The Capitol) reallycouldnt let the poor districts live. Katnis has entered the games due to the picking of her twelve year old sister Primrose. She volunteered for her so she could live. That was a smart move by her, or at least i think it is. It gives her family, her village, and for sure her sister a better chance at life. Katniss is pretty skilled with a bow and arrow, so she stands a good chance in the games. I think that so far, this is one of the best books i have ever read. It has a lot of action, it's a little sad, it's got a great plot, and it's even got a little love story (uh oh) in the mix. Well that's about it so far, so by.

This spell check thing doesn't work so well, does it? I'm reading this book to, and I think about the same things. However, I think a lot of the hype about this book is a little too much. It's a good book and all, but it does get a little redundant at times. But I am really drawn into the story. I think this is a good review of the book.

I am loving this book, but the hype can sometimes ruin a book. I think the richer Districts are at an advantage because their tributes will go in stronger. But every up side has a down side in return. I am starting the sequel this weekend. Great Post!
ReplyDeleteWow.. that survey totally relates to the topic of your blog :P
